What is a Section 106 Agreement?
Section 106 Agreements are legal agreements between Local Authorities and developers; these are linked to planning permissions and can also be known as planning obligations.
Section 106 agreements are drafted when it is considered that a development will have significant impacts on the local area that cannot be moderated by means of conditions attached to a planning decision.
Although we do not want the Grey route at all, we need to make it clear what our demands for local improvements would be should we be unfortunate enough to be lumbered with the scheme. If we do not make the requests then we could miss out on these things. The South Downs National Park Authority has also made Section 106 demands related to the Grey route.
